AAFT University believes in the idea of giving back to society. Thus, CSR forms an integral part of University activities. Our CSR activities are a way to transform our students into socially responsible citizens and lead the University’s vision of philanthropic support.
We organize various activities related to health and wellbeing, education, nutrition, skill development, innovation, etc. Students and faculty actively participate in these welfare programs that let them build a critical understanding of social wellbeing.
- As an educational establishment, we are on an endeavor to efficiently improve the education status and quality in the state.
- As a compulsory mandate of the state’s regulatory commission run by the State Governor, we have adopted five villages.
- As a part of our CSR activities, we continuously distribute stationary to these villages. The students and faculty also take classes on subjects that can help the village people develop employable skills, such as computer science, art, media, communication, etc.
- We also run social welfare campaigns on malnutrition, women’s hygiene, road safety, etc., that would help in uplifting society.
- The clothes designed and stitched by our fashion school students are donated to these villages.
- We also ran a campaign of agro-based reporting where the students got on the role of the farmers and spend time with them, disseminating agricultural information through different media.
- We have done more than 300 plantations in these regions to date.
- During the Covid-19 outbreak, we ran various awareness campaigns and provided essentials like sanitizers, masks, etc. We continue to administer these activities as a regular practice now.
We believe such programs provide the students and faculty with an opportunity to see the world through a new lens. They learn to contribute to serving the underprivileged section of society and help improve their quality of life.
