SYLLABUS

Throughout the course, the students are provided with following projects

Semester I

  • Students will gain a greater understanding of how different art materials can work together to create a cohesive artwork.
  • Explain the defining formal, stylistic, and technical characteristics of images, objects, and architecture using appropriate specialized terminology.
  • Students will be able to identify still life drawings compare and contrast different types of still life drawings demonstrate still life techniques in drawing
  • Students will have the opportunity to focus and sustain their ideas for a personal subject to create a series of painting studies.
  • Relying on independent research of a local landscape to determine the starting point, students will begin to develop a personal and visual language to explore and in turn, refine their ideas.

Semester II

  • This may deal with direct painting from nature or with alternative approaches to the making of traditional or innovative two- and, at times, three-dimensional images.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the history of art and aesthetics theoretically.
  • Progress toward developing a consistent, personal direction and style. The ability to work independently.
  • They shall be able to comprehend the art movement, which fashioned the expansion of art throughout history.
  • To develop the sense of structure.  Operational problems in building up structure.  Gravitational and mechanical principles.  Principles of composition and the study of the principles that hold the structure.
  • It shall establish the concept of Art in their in their consciousness. Student shall be acquainted with art from expansive viewpoint. They shall be able to comprehend the element and principle of aesthetics.
