Rules and Regulations
» Ragging is strictly prohibited in any form; if someone is found guilty, severe action will be taken.
» Students are not allowed to consume alcohol, narcotic drugs or any intoxicating substance in the hostel premises, anyone found guilty will be expelled without any refund. No smoking inside the hostel premises.
» All visitors to the hostel including parents/guardians will have to make necessary entries in the visitors’ book available at the hostel entrance with the security guard. They will meet only in the lobby of reception and will not go to any room.
» Students should not keep any unauthorized property and unauthorized guests in their room.
» No person, either guest or otherwise, or day scholars and friends, shall be permitted to stay overnight in any part of the hostel. In case guest wants to stay overnight in the hostel, he/she should take permission from the warden.
» Students are responsible for the safekeeping of their valuables. Students should provide their own locks and should take proper care of their belongings.
» Students are not allowed to organise or conduct any group religious activities in their room.
» Students are not allowed to take common room’s newspapers to their room at any time.
» Students should handle hostel equipments, furniture, mess property carefully and not misuse or tamper with it. If so, then applicable fine will be charged by the hostel management.
» Students have to use water and electricity judiciously. If fan, tube, geysers etc., are found ON in the absence of the students at their rooms, fine will be charged by hostel authorities.
» 200 units of electricity is allowed per month. Beyond this will be charged extra.
» Garbage and waste to be dropped in the garbage box only, available near hostel premises.
» No student will use the services of a hostel housekeeping person for personal work.
» Students will not enter rooms of other students without permission of the inmates.
» Every case of illness and accident must be reported immediately to the hostel authorities.
» No function or celebration shall be organized at hostel premises except with the permission of the Warden.
» Students suffering from contagious disease will not be allowed to stay at hostel. If a student hides this information, he will be fined and/or terminated from the hostel. Decision of the Warden in this regard will be final and binding.
» Allotment of room furniture etc. will be entirely at the discretion of the Warden and no complaints in this regard will be entertained.
» All matters relating to differences among students and complaints about thefts etc shall be brought to the notice of the hostel management. No police complaint will be lodged by the student before taking prior permission from the hostel management.
» Any complaint from the neighbours/society will result in strict action.
» Hostel accommodation (room) can be changed by the management if they find it necessary at any point of time.
» Students indulging in use of abusive and threatening language, physical fights, use of force to get unfair act accomplished, etc. will invite disciplinary action. Further, they are liable to be expelled from the hostel/Institute. Playing music/record player etc. loud enough to cause disturbance to his/her neighbour(s) is prohibited. Defaulters will be punished. Repeated acts will render cancellation of allotment of Hostel room.
» No student will enter the kitchen to cook anything at any time, or take anything from there.
» Meals etc will be served during laid down timings only, at the designated place. No student will be served beyond these timings.
» All students will return to their hostel at night as per the laid down timings.
» Student food committee will only be allowed to enter in kitchen with warden at time of planned audits, rest of the time no student will enter the kitchen area.
» A food menu will be in place to serve food every day, no student will be allowed to decide and dictate choices other than the defined food menu.
