Bachelor in Fine Arts

The Bachelor of Fine Arts students will learn to translate concepts into individual expression by using drawing, color, form, space, structure, and composition and by developing a solid understanding of tools and media. Develop your creative skills and knowledge with the Bachelor of Fine Arts. Taught by internationally-recognised practising artists and scholars, you’ll develop your independent artistic practice in a rigorous and supportive community of artists and thinkers.

SYLLABUS

Semester I

  • Ultimately, the end of such a course is to build up awareness in student about man’s creative expressions through the practical assignment, offering them an opportunity to realize their own potentiality and limitations.
  • Knowing the artist’s tools and materials and finding their possibilities and Limitations through series of free and elaborate exercise.
  • Understanding of the basic forms and the fundamentals of drawing and painting.
  • Where student learns to see the nature in subjective way and understands the basic.
  • Students will also taught through series of exercise, how an artist sees & expresses, how the most of the objects have more than one meaning.
  • Exhibit effective listening, oral, and written communication skills in the professional context.

Semester II

  • Students will also taught through series of exercise, how an artist sees & expresses, how the most of the objects have more than one meaning.
  • Training in observation and expression.
  • This covers the training both theoretical and practical.
  • The student is made aware of the basic shapes and forms together with his Understanding of space, in which these are relatively placed.
  • Anticipatory and imaginative use of gathering impressions, Fundamentals of various methods of taking prints. Observation of  intrinsic texture of various surfaces and the textures of natural and man made things.

Semester III

  • From this module, student shall be able to understand the immensity and role of art in their daily life.
  • It shall establish the concept of Art in their consciousness.
  • Students shall be acquainted with art from an expansive viewpoint.
  • They shall be able to comprehend the elements and principles of art.
  • Design is an arrangement of various forms and shapes for a specific purpose in a given space. It establishes the coordination of different forms with the available space in a harmonious way.
  • Students can understand the esthetics and the moral of “SATYAM SHIVAM SHUNDARAM”

Semester IV

  • Relationship between seeing and feeling, thus he is made familiar with visual.
  • In the practical application, these fundamentals are applied in drawing and painting.
  • Synchronization of hand and eye will be well established and students can work in tandem to create any piece of art.
  • Students can understand the esthetics and the moral of “SATYAM SHIVAM SHUNDARAM”

  • Students can also understand the color sense, tone, and brush stroke (according to human figure).
  • Relationship between seeing and feeling, thus he is made familiar with visual.
  • In the practical application, these fundamentals are applied in drawing and painting.
  • Where student learns to see the nature in subjective way and understands the basic.

Semester VI

  • In this module the students will be able to understand the concept of colours.
  • The student is made aware of the basic shapes and forms together with his Understanding of space, in which these are relatively placed.
  • They can learn the realistic panting students can also understand the color sense, tone, and brush stroke (according to human figure).
  • Encompasses the study of objects created by different cultures around the world and throughout history that convey meaning, importance or serve usefulness primarily through visual representations.
  • They will be able to paint and handle different kinds of colours and mediums. Students will be able to see the colours in natural as well as artificial light.

Semester VII

  • Students can learn the creative arts. It helps students to improve their imagination and to create their own style.
  • From this module, student shall be able to understand the immensity and role of art in their daily life. It shall establish the concept of Art in their consciousness. Students shall be acquainted with art from an expansive viewpoint. They shall be able to comprehend the elements and principles of art.
  • Art as an expression of thoughts, ideas and communication needs to be understood to make a solid foundation for the course.
  • They will be able to design, taking ideas from natural objects and their surroundings. They will learn different types of designs and their purpose in everyday life.
  • From this module student will be able to understand the 2D and 3D projection. They will be able to draw orthographic projections of the objects available.
  • They will be able to draw a conclusive opinion about the behaviour of colours in different environments.

Semester VIII

  • They will have the ability to consider methods of presentation and distribution in innovative ways that respond to, and potentially influence, existing conditions in the field.
  • Students can learn the creative arts. It helps students to improve their imagination and to create their own style.
