School of Fashion and Design provides much broader spectrum of design education by catering to the nuanced need of the today’s industry. Most students who wish to make a career in the fields of design aspire to study at AAFT. SOFD offers 2 years Post Graduate, 3 & 4 year Under Graduate, 1 year Diploma and few Certificate programs in key Design domains namely Fashion Design, Interior Design, Textile Design, Fashion Communication and Jewellery Design. It offers dual degree programs in all the 5 domains. Its short term certificate courses are in various specialized areas like make up, Styling and Modelling.
AAFT School of Fashion and Design has state-of-the-art infrastructure. It provides the students with air-conditioned classrooms with LCD projectors, fully equipped Sewing and Pattern Making Labs,Interior drawing studios, Computer Labs with modern technologies and design softwares, Chroma Studio for styling and photo shoots, fully operational Textile Design Studio, Jewellery Design Labs and makeup studios.
AAFT School of Fashion and Design focuses on practical experience for students by giving them hand-on training in Labs with modern facilities. We have our own Library to enable students to research and study. We organize Global Fashion and Design Week every year which gives student an opportunity to showcase their final design collection on ramp and in exhibitions.
Curriculum of AAFT School of Fashion and Design is planned in such a way that every student is continuously evaluated throughout the semester. The assignments are all practical oriented , students are free to create their projects digitally /manually. As part of their course they are asked to work on pattern making and garment construction, Fashion Illustration, CAD rendering, Photo Project, Market Survey, Research Documents ,Design Collection, develop furniture pieces, style the collection, photo shoot-basically from concept to product.
