Education Qualification – Degree/Master Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in cinema and/or PG Diploma from FTII/SRFTI, equivalent in Film or Television production
Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, An excellent record of accomplishment in film and television industry.
Job Description:
- To contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality curriculum in Film & media at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to the development and delivery of the interdisciplinary curriculum.
- To prepare learning materials suitable for the teaching and learning methodologies used by the University.
- To contribute to the presentation of university modules. This includes the direction of teaching and assessment/examination, monitoring of samples of marking by Associate Lecturers, membership of examination boards, contributing to discussion forums to enrich the student experience, and liaising with the Student Support Team. To take institute and faculty feedback and accordingly take remedial actions.
- To plan and take the necessary actions to improve university results and academics.
- To promote industry-university interaction and research & development activity.
- Supporting Departments/Schools in a manner that promotes excellence in instruction and scholarly and creative productivity and service.
- Deliver class through the development of instructional plans to meet course competencies, the development of activities supporting lesson objectives
- Mentoring students & student management Discipline, Communication, attendance, student/parent grievances, fees, etc.
- Manages the learning environment by keeping accurate records, submitting grades and other reports on time, and enforcing school/campus academic and attendance
- Should have strong linkages & networks with the industry & academics. Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities Required
- Experience in direction/production along with the other relevant field of expertise.
- Knowledge of world and Indian cinema.
- Creative storyteller, narrator and scriptwriter.
- Ability to write poems, poetry
- Knowledge of film budgeting
- Knowledge of film scheduling
- Technical and theoretical knowledge of film and television production
- Knowledge of framing, composition and film appreciation
- Knowledge of computer application
- Ability to mentor students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range
- of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
